“In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous”
— Aristotle

“We have lived our lives by the assumption that what was good for us would be good for the world. We have been wrong. We must change our lives so that it will be possible to live by the contrary assumption, that what is good for the world will be good for us. And that requires that we make the effort to know the world and learn what is good for it.”
— Wendell Berry

The creatures comprising the fauna of Southern Africa are not only magnificent examples of the miracle of nature, but also beautifully photogenic. This website represents my attempts to record these two facts.

There are a few ways to browse this site:

  1. By stepping through each of the posts individually; starting with any of the posts listed on the upper right hand side, or,
  2. By selecting a category on the right hand side where all the posts so categorised can be viewed in chronological order, or,
  3. By selecting the individual galleries listed in the menu bar above, or,
  4. By selecting a month from the archive listed on the right hand side, where all posts for that month can be viewed in chronological order.

Please enjoy my images! But remember that these images are all my own work and should you wish to use them for any purpose other than for your own private enjoyment please obtain my permission. This will not be unreasonably withheld.
